There’re
days when you crave simple food. How about fine noodles with sugar? The very
thought of it might scare you a bit but I assure you that it does taste better
than you ever imagine.
I
used to have the sweet noodles as a child with steamed potatoes and watermelons,
usually as a snack on a sizzling hot day. Icy sugar water with long strands of
white noodles was always a delight to have. It’s definitely a refreshing summer
treat. Consume with kimchi, pickles (cucumber, jalapeño etc.)
or salad.
Ingredients
Serves 1
150ml
cooked fine noodles
200ml
drinkable water
1
tablespoon sugar (preferably demerara or brown sugar)
Directions
1. Sprinkle sugar in a bowl with water. Stir until
sugar dissolves.
2. Place coil of noodles in the bowl. Serve cold during hot
weather and luke warm in cooler temperatures.
